Hansel and Gretel is suitable for performance at any time of the year in primary schools and is full of Nick’s original humour – with some unexpected twists to the well-known story.

Two children, abandoned in a wood, come upon a gingerbread house occupied by a witch, who has designs on eating them! But, as with all Nick Cornall’s pantomimes, things are not quite what they seem … the witch is urged to update herself and her edible cottage includes sodium monoglutomate! There are delightful woodland animals, a wicked stepmother, a woodman father and a robust police constable.

The Teacher’s Book & CD (GA11113) contains the piano score, vocal lines, chord symbols, production notes and CD of vocal and backing tracks, ideal for rehearsals and performances. The Script is available separately (GA11114) and we recommend the purchase of both items in order to stage this play.
