Schertler STAT-V Set Electrostatic Transducer for Violin/Viola
Description
The patented Schertler STAT-V Set electrostatic bridge pickup for violin and viola stands out for its high feedback resistance and for delivering an impressive bridge tone without the harshness or distortion of piezo pickups. Located under the high string in the bridge wing cut-out, STAT-V delivers a direct and punchy sound.
Unlike shrill or metallic piezo pickups, STAT-V accurately reproduces the warm sound of your strings. The bottom of the violin/viola sound is impressively reproduced with all its depth and body, while the highs are clear and bright.
The STAT-V is the choice for a loud musical environment. The standard STAT-V Set includes pickup, cable and the battery-powered Stat Pre preamplifier with volume control.
Amplification may be managed by the house PA or with a full-range amplifier system such as for example the Schertler PUB 280 active loudspeaker.

INSTALLATION The pickup should be fitted in the bridge hole under the higher strings with the cork facing upwards. The upper side of the cork must be filed so that it matches the top of the bridge hole exactly. Once installed, is the pickup is too loose in position, it might get a low output signal, while if it is installed too tightly, the sound might result boomy or distorted. Please refer to the USER GUIDE for all the details. CONNECTION Connect the STAT pickup to an instrument channel of a preamp, amp or mixer. The pickup requires 10V to work so remember to eventually provide it (this is done automatically on the STAT PRE, but must be activated on YELLOW preamps, any SCHERTLER acoustic amp or mixer).
